HOW DO THE WATER AND
SEWER PIPES CONNECT TO A BUILDING AND WHAT PORTION OF THESE PIPES IS THE
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBLE FOR ?
WATER SERVICE LINES
The water district has a valve located as near as
possible to each customers property line. This valve is sometimes called
a curb stop. The customer owns and is responsible to maintain all piping
and associated plumbing beyond this valve.
SEWER BUILDING SERVICE LINE
A separate and independent building sewer shall be
provided for every building, and all cost and expenses incident to the
installation, connection, and maintenance of the building sewer shall be
borne by the owner.
