THE HALLOWELL WATER DISTRICT BILLS QUARTERLY.  BILLS ARE MAILED  IN THE FIRST FULL WEEK OF JANUARY, APRIL, JULY, AND OCTOBER.   THE CUSTOMERS BILL IS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF WATER USAGE AS RECORDED BY THE WATER METER.
 
 


WATER IS BILLED IN QUANTITIES OF 100 CUBIC FEET.    100 CUBIC FEET IS EQUAL TO 748 GALLONS.

NEXT                 4800 CUBIC FEET OF WATER PER QUARTER                       $ 2.00 PER 100 CUBIC FEET
EXCESS OF      6000 CUBIC FEET OF WATER PER QUARTER                      $ 1.42 PER 100 CUBIC FEET
*** this is for 5/8" meters (normal residential meter type) for rates of other size meters please call the district office.

The District files with The Maine Public Utilities Commission a list of TERMS AND CONDITIONS that work in conjunction with the MPUC rules and regulations. A great deal of this material is summarized in the following pages. Any interested person who wishes to read these rules and regulations may visit the District's office during normal business hours.
